Meet our practitioners
Jill McVarish
Jill has been qualified since 1984, from The Chelsea School of Chiropody/Podiatry with a diploma in Chiropody and in 1996 graduated with a BSc in Podiatric Medicine. For the first 10 years she worked for the National Health Services in London and Maidstone, as a Senior Podiatrist and gradually since then, she has worked more and more in the private sector. Two years for the Maidstone Chiropody Practice and 18 years as a co-director of Headcorn Natural Health Centre from the Year 2000. Jill founded Headcorn Podiatry as a specialist Podiatry clinic in 2017, since when it has grown to a busy 2 chair clinic. In 2021 she handed over management of the clinic to Robert Isaacs but still works Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays in clinic.
Robert Isaacs
Robert qualified in 2000 from the University of Brighton. He took a post in the NHS and remained there, taking on a specialist role in biomechanics in 2005. From 2005 until 2021 he worked as Lead Podiatrist in Biomechanical therapies, specialising in Paediatric Biomechanics and leading the Musculosketelal Podiatry team for the West Kent locality.
Robert works as an associate lecturer for the Queen Margaret University BSc Podiatry program and has also lectured on the MSc Biomechanics module for the University of Ulster and CESPU (a Portuguese university offering Podiatry). He has been an invited lecturer at the Langer Biomechanics Summer School, the Royal College of Podiatry annual conference, the British Chiropody and Podiatry Association annual conference and the Institute of Chiropody and Podiatry annual conference. He has written for several professional journals and writes a regular column for “ComMenT”, the journal for CMT UK (a charity supporting people with Charcot Marie Tooth).
Robert is the present manager of Headcorn Podiatry Clinic and works Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in clinic.
Kirstie Clements
Kirstie qualified as a Podiatrist in 1997 with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry from Nene College, Northampton. She has worked in both the NHS and private practice for the past 17 years. Kirstie has also volunteered her services at diabetic clinics in Ukraine as well as providing treatment at the London Marathon. Kirstie works Wednesdays and Fridays at Headcorn Podiatry Clinic.
Andrea Wells
Andrea qualified as a Podiatrist in 2006 from the University of Brighton. Andrea has worked within the health sector for 16 years and worked as a health care assistant working in hospitals, nursing homes, mental health and patient homes before qualifying as a Podiatrist. Since qualifying, she has worked in the private sector. Andrea is able to bring much experience of working with and caring for a mixed variety of patient needs. Andrea works on Fridays at Headcorn Podiatry Clinic
All our Podiatrists are Registered with the HCPC, the regulatory body which governs healthcare professionals, and are full members of the Royal College of Podiatry.
